I still have lots to learn

about wirework.

Understanding the gauge and size 

would be a good place to start.

I thought I would be making

a little wire sculpture

but when this arrived

I had actually ordered

a giant slinky!

With a bit of muscle work

I managed to make these 

two decorations

When I can get outside

they will be 

put into my tall pots

of lavender

Today I am listening to Light It Up

by my nephews' band AVENUES.

Did I mention

they were on the telly??!!

was about clocks and time.

It is crocheted from 

a ball of white cotton yarn,

lined with a piece

of white sheet

and a few bits and pieces

from my box of notions

stitched on for decoration

Spring Equinox

Yesterday was the

Spring Equinox
which means that
the days are now longer than the nights.
I love spring
it is my favourite season
full of new things, hope and surprise.

The other magical thing about yesterday
is that there was a

partial eclipse.

Sadly it was cloudy here
though the twilight-like darkness
was very atmospheric.
I didn't get any photos
but here is one of my eclipse ring,
bought in Crete when I was there with Lorraine
and one of
my absolute treasures.
I wear it every day.

Venetian island of Burano

many years ago

when I was there with Alice,

a 3 inch embroidery hoop

and some little
