than to become and indoor sitter"

My very first wirework piece,
a little bookmark
from 1.5mm black wire

The tiny tools are so cute

Today I have been listening to
The Beatles 1967-1970 album

#nine

Number nine is a "double make".

I grew the hyacinth from a bulb in an aluminium pot
and crocheted the colour-matched
cover with a wrap of string to add detail

The Fool on the Hill

When cleaning this space
between the kitchen cupboard and the boiler
I thought it would make a lovely little shelf for something fun.
So, I got one of my teeny tiny people and placed him there
and straight away I started singing The Fool on the Hill by The Beatles.

Burns Night

Burns night
25th January

Oh my love is like a red, red rose
That's newly spring in June
My love is like a melody
That's sweetly played in tune.......

I had to learn that poem at school
and can still recite it almost word-perfect

Enjoy your neeps and tatties!

Make number seven is a
hot water bottle cover

Perfect for snuggling up with
a good book
on a cold January afternoon

Knitted from a pattern by
Hunting Hall Farm
at Beal in Northumberland.
They have a lovely range of
organic wool and patterns

http://www.northumbrianorganicwool.co.uk/

I haven't knitted for many months
and it seemed very strange to have two needles
instead of one hook!

Just a mini-make for number five.
I used one of the photographs I took
of the trees outside my house
to make this notecard.

a programme I recorded on BBC 4

The Art of Snow and Ice

A Stolen Kiss

On my doorstep

I'm not counting these as part of my
100 makes for 2015
but thought I would include them
as they show the beauty of nature
on your own doorstep

My first make of 2015

A little lavender bag
made from oddments of cotton
I had in the house.

The back is plain,
the front is a square for a blanket
from a crochet magazine pattern

Made while listening to Radio 4's
10 hour adaptation of
War and Peace.
I am sort of following it!

Happy New Year!

Happy new year 2015!

My challenge to myself is to make
100 things this year.

I will be trying all different crafts,
some old favourites, some new
and some I haven't done for a long time,
I will be recording them all here.

I'm not just going to show the things
I think are great, if some turn out to be a disaster
then I will share them too!

May your next year be
happy, healthy and full of love and peace x
